Here at BMR, at the crossroads of music and tech, we are no strangers to ghosts in the machine. This month we have 2. We first connected with pricklypearsound late last year and now have the honor of presenting 2 of their magnificent manifestations in the form of "gotta gost" and "anothergost."

This release starts with a spectral synth call and phantom vocals all tied together effortlessly with broken beat drums and a deep bassline. pricklypearsound effortlessly glides through stereo space during the break with lush sounds from another realm. After the break, a resonant synth stab sound drives the music's energy further before the track drifts off into oblivion.

"anothergost" takes the ideas from "gotta gost" and rebuilds them into a lo-fi two step warper. "Gotta get, Gotta get, Gotta get to..." It's as if the vocals are lost in another dimension. We think you're gonna like this one! If the vocal hook in "anothergost" doesn't get you, the track's arrangement or any of the other intricate details pricklypearsound added while producing it will. You'll find something new with each listen.
