To round out our first year of releases on BMR we have enlisted none other than Precenphix of Not Yet Remembered Records. The NYR crew continue to be a source of inspiration and have proved invaluable in the story so far of Black Magic. With Precenphix's latest, we continue to expand the BMR universe with an incredibly refreshing take on acid techno. "Sunset Splendor, Jilted Dawn" begins with soothing, ponderous synthesizer sounds that pull you into Precenphix's world. After that initial respite, we are treated to the familiar squelch of acid before the drums and lead synth come in and kick things off properly. Equal parts serene and obscene, we love this track and think you will too. While BMR007 offers a new style of electronic music to the BMR catalog, some things remain the same; the price for the release jumps after six days, so if you like what you hear, support the music early! As always, we include bonus magic with each track purchase.
